A very dear friend of mine launched a fictional with the following premise:

"The Program is a historical podcast, but a one that’s set in the future and examines the present day. The world of the future is exactly like ours, except that Money, State, and God became fused into a single entity called the Program."

I might be biased, but I think it's really good and you should give it a shot.

Wow, just had the Pirates/Greens pick through my EU parliament presentation slides with a fine tooth comb in a phone call and try to get me to change what I’m saying so as not to criticise Facebook, etc. WTF?

Never had anyone try to censor what I say before. Of course I will speak my mind verbatim tomorrow and if anything this means I won’t be accepting any future speaking engagements at the EU parliament for these parties.

The North America and Pelican nebulae are actually the same cloud of hydrogen gas. Their shape and separation are caused by a cloud of dark dust between us and the emission nebula. #astrophoto

Love it.

The new FSF Respects Your Freedom website is pretty neat:

Videos from Webcamp Zagreb are up.

I love organising this conference. There were many cool talks. But I also hate organising it because it shatters my nerves and takes a metric shit-ton of work to accomplish.

YouTube is probably over.

It’s been a lot of small steps, but this is the end.

As of December 10th, Youtube will delete channels that are “no longer commercially viable.”

How could a channel that’s demonetized be “commercially viable”?

“Broadcast yourself” is finished.

Casual reminder that Elon Musk didn't found Tesla. When he contributed venture capital to the company he literally paid extra so he could have the title "Co-Founder".

"Work/life balance" implies you're not alive while working.

Tried some Jamaican Blue Mountain for the first time on Saturday. It was really good, but surprisingly subtle... It was brewed using a method I'm not used to (siphon), so it's kinda hard to compare it to anything else I had recently.

In other news, every coffee from Burundi I've tried so far (N=3) was freaking amazing.

Go. Help @gnome to fight trolls. Blah-blah-blah! Blah!

Actually, I've donated 50$, just because I like the way the project was developing lately. And I want them to keep investing money in engineering, not into patent trolls.

This is change

There are serious companies out there with web server setups that send updated `etag` *and* `last-modified` headers for resources that are verifiably *not* changing.
